by MAD A ROAD
Blow is the first single of the "Mad a road" project, a collective of producers composed of Morello Selecta, Robi Garruto, Layan Bros (already present in the Yahman records orbit with various productions) and the finger-drummer and multi-instrumentalist Dropkick_M. The mix of genres that characterizes the beat, the result of the different musical backgrounds belonging to the different producers, is a powerful concentrate of vibes. A mix of electronics, drum and bass and future dancehall, always keeping faith with the connection of the Salento label with Caribbean music. Although the text is mainly based on club lyrics, it hides messages that recall the themes of women's emancipation, freedom of expression and freedom of protest in all its forms. The producers themselves declare that they have thought of the track inspired by the story of the activist "Naked Athena", who appeared in front of the police deployed to disperse the "black lives matter" protesters who were protesting the story that happened to George Floyd. Blow is "urban musical insurrection" like a street parade in Berlin and a carnival in Notting Hill, where music is the natural glue between rebellion and fun.
