Real World – Remixes
Peto D (Peter Danyi) a gypsy born in Kosice, Slovakia Nov. 12, 1987 grew up in a musical family. Particulary his father was a member of a Hungarian gypsy band with the genre of traditional hungarian gypsy music while Peto’s siblings we’re great fans and collectors of Funk/Disco music. Since child his ears we’re very interessed in the the sound of funk bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, Incognito, D-Train, Cheryl Lynn, Michael Jackson and more. Since child his family we’re always amazed about his great hearing for music. Peto heard every detail in a song others weren’t able to hear it directly and sang along with every song they played in perfect intonation and kept explaining how the tracks we’re assembled. Thanks to his musical and rhytmic feel and hearing he figured out deep secrets about composing music. When the band Jamiroquai met the light of the world that is when he saw a mirror of himself of the future. Peto’s dream since child was being able to compose quality exclusive funk tracks and become a producer like ie. Jean-Paul ‘Bluey’ Maunick (Incognito). His creative feel filled him with great desire to be a maker of quality productions . in 1996 he immigrated to Belgium due racism. In the age around 12yo he got his first Roland synthesizer. He used many things like tape recordes to try to combine sounds somehow. When the age of computers arrived he was introduced to Audio recording software and used it to compose funky tracks using the sounds of his synthesizer. In 2013 he was introduced to the technology of Digital Workstations and midi controllers and digital instruments (VST’s/SF2). That’s when his dream was coming true. Since that time Peto keeps trying to evolve his producing skills and still to this day he is listening to classic’s and Jazz music because he believes his hearing is what enhaces/evolves his composing talent. Peto’s theory is, “when i understand Funk and Jazz, i can make any kind of music”. His opinion is that “FUNK” is a substance that makes music , “FUNK” is hidden in every succesful production, the trick is making your own version of it. Peto: “I don’t wanna make music, i wanna make hits. If my music does not amaze, touch and move the listener, i feel like i failed myself”
